This session will focus on four domains of wellness as outlined by Boogren & Kanold in their book Educator Wellness. This is an overview of educator wellness. Let's learn about ways we can be mindful of our physical, mental, emotional and social wellness routines to support our wellbeing and our colleagues throughout the year.
A panel of high school students will share their MTSS/RTI experience from elementary to high school and how it has impacted their educational experience. Students will answer prepared questions, but there will be a small amount of time for participants to ask questions as well.
This presentation will focus on exploring executive functioning skills which can be a challenge to autistic individuals who struggle to meet classroom expectations. We will discuss what executive functions are, how to assess a learner's skills and develop plans to help support executive functioning goals in the classroom environment. This will include adapting the environment, tasks and adult communication to increase learner success.
